Buzby and Blue

Established in 1990

Our history

Oving Road, ChichesterNigel Faulkner and Christopher Friend began their hairdressing business back in 1990. The original salon was located in Oving Road, Chichester, see picture left.

The inspiration for the company name came from the two VW Beetle's they owned. Nigel owned a yellow Beetle (Buzby) and Chris owned a blue Beetle (Blue) and together they became Buzby & Blue! Sadly, they no longer have their VW Beetles but the names live on in their successful hairdressing business.

In 1996 Buzby & Blue Hairdressing moved from their first salon in Oving Road (pictured above) to their second salon in Eastgate Square, Chichester.

Hornet Salon

In 2008 Buzby and Blue opened another salon in The Hornet, Chichester, (pictured above). This use to be the old Eastgate Gallery.

Nigel and ChrisReady, Steady, Go! Nigel & Chris also share a love of Mod culture and all things British. Both were Jam fans and Nigel does have an air of the Paul Weller about him. Though they have both settled down with families and mortgages, they are still Mods at heart! Pictured right are Nigel & Chris outside the Punch House pub in Chichester, the venue for the Mod night they helped organise with live music from Maximum High.

All Buzby & Blue staff are trained in-house to the highest professional hairdressing standards.Their price structure is based on qualifications and levels of hairdressing experience.
